Fully rendered clouds fill the skies while highly detailed cityscapes enhance the sense of supersonic speed, setting the stage for highly exhilarating aerial battles. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will provide an arsenal of ultra-modern and near-future super weapons for players to wield, while presenting formidable enemies for pilots to vanquish in the air.

Aces who have proven their aerial combat prowess in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown’s campaign mode can take their dogfighting skills online for furious online multiplayer battles.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown also marks the return of Sunao Katabuchi as the lead writer behind the fictional storyline that players will experience in the game. Previously, Sunao Katabuchi wrote the storylines for both Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies and Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War.

Bandai Namco revealed that three new aircraft are coming soon to Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown as part of forthcoming DLC packs (standalone sets or as a part of the Season Pass), each will be available to play in both Story mode and Multiplayer mode.

In addition to the aircraft, each DLC will also include a brand new weapon, exclusive skins and emblems.

The ADF-11F Raven Set - arriving on May 22th 2019:

New Aircraft: ADF-11F Raven. A manned version of the large fighter developed in Erusea. Its ADF-11 nose unit is uniquely equipped with an F-type flight unit designed for combat.

New Special weapon: UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)

The ADF-01 FALKEN Set - arriving on June 26th 2019:

New Aircraft: ADF-01 FALKEN.A large fighter developed by North Osea Gründer Industries. Representing the culmination of Belka's military technology, it is highly maneuverable, capable of stealth flight and loaded with high-output lasers and fuel air explosive (FAE) bombs.

New Special weapon: FAEB (Fuel-Air Explosive Bomb)

The ADFX-01 Morgan Set - arriving on July 31st 2019:

New Aircraft: ADFX-01 Morgan.  A large, multi-role, experimental Belkan aircraft later completed by the Allied Forces. Loaded with equipment such as high-output lasers and multi-use air-burst missiles, it is an incredibly diverse fighter.

New Special weapon: MPBM (Multi-Purpose Burst Missile)

The Ace Combat franchise has always delivered heart-pounding aerial combat action wrapped in a beautifully presented package that pushed the limits of each console generation the game appeared on. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown continues this storied tradition of placing players in the cockpit of their favorite fighter jets to take part in an aerial ballet of death and destruction… this time with the added realism that can only be delivered through PlayStation VR.  

Players experiencing Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be able to see their fighters in true-to-life size and detail when exploring their hangers in PlayStation VR. Players will be treated to unprecedented levels of immersion as they enter a fighter jet’s cockpit, surrounded by detailed instruments, and afforded a true 360-degree view of battles taking place around them through the fighter’s canopy.

PS4 players will be able to play the full campaign on the classic mode and an exclusive and dedicated experience with specific features developed for the Sony PlayStation VR.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is available for take-off on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
