Players begin the game shipwrecked on a mysterious island with eccentric locals, and wind up caught between them and a powerful witch.
As players adventure across the map from encounter to encounter, they will frequently find themselves overpowered, and can return to town to train their abilities in a series of evolving arcade-style minigames that contribute directly to their stats, from archery to magic accuracy and more. They can also upgrade their home or the training grounds for bonuses, find and tame pets to take into battle, unlock new mercenary allies, and more.
"We're excited to be partnering with Kongregate to have Swords & Souls: Neverseen premiere on their Kartridge platform," said Armor Games Studios' VP of Operations & Strategy Justin Ramos. "We've had a great relationship and camaraderie with them for as long as we've been around, and with the legacy of this title coming from our online communities, it just felt like the right move to help celebrate SoulGame Studio's latest."
The original Swords and Souls game was a wildly popular web title that has been played by over 20 million players on Kongregate and Armor Games alone since 2015. Swords & Souls: Neverseen keeps and refines the training cycles, art style, and combat players loved, while bringing them an all-new standalone adventure filled with even more content and surprises.
Swords & Souls: Neverseen will release first exclusively on Kongregate's Kartridge platform, before coming to others 45 days later.
