'Paper Beast' (PS4) Will Make Debut At Gamescom - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on July 16, 2019 @ 4:28 p.m. PDT

Paper Beast is a playful VR exploration game of big data and vibrant wildlife, where you'll discover an ecosystem born out of lost code and forgotten algorithms.

Paper Beast lets intrepid player-explorers discover a blossoming virtual world where the environments and quirky animals have independently evolved from lost code and forgotten data.

Players will interact with ever-evolving environments and will form delicate bonds with emotionally stirring creatures. Following an unspoken narrative, players will interact with fascinating wildlife that adapts its behavior to the player’s actions.

Paper Beast is a poetic fusion of VR technology and immersive gameplay experiences, with a deep simulation system at its core.

Paper Beast is a poetic fusion of VR technology and immersive gameplay experiences. A deep simulation system has been developed to bring the game universe to life. To emphasise the experience three talents are working full time on the spatial audio. The original soundtrack from British music artist Roly Porter highlights the immersion as you find your way in this colorful and poetic universe. And like the icing on the cake The Japanese All Girl Art Punk Rock Band TsuShiMaMire also took part in the adventure!

"Imagine you are dropped in a virgin land, you walk and you don't know where to go. Interactions lead you forward, and in the end, you have a natural view of everything," said Eric Chahi, founder at Pixel Reef.

Paper Beast is set for a release later in 2019 on PlayStation VR.
