'Utawarerumono: Zan' (PS4) Introduces New Playable Heroes - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Aug. 9, 2019 @ 8:23 a.m. PDT

In Utawarerumono: Zan high-energy combat connects with a reminiscent tale in the action-packed brawler.

Heroes are not born; they are forged by the trials of fate.

Meet Haku, Kuon, Rulutieh, and Ukon, and witness their strength and prowess in battle. Who among them will be remembered in the songs of legend? Discover a lost legend in a new light. Utawarerumono: ZAN is an action-based brawler that reimagines the story of Haku, a man with no memories, and the great conflict that consumes the land he calls home.

Haku's story is retold through fully-animated cutscenes (another series first) as he uncovers the truth behind his mysterious origins.

Take control of over 12 legendary heroes, like the princess Rulutieh and her pet Cocopo, or the magical twins Uruuru and Saraana, then utilize their unique abilities to engage hordes of enemies in ferocious melee combat. Venture through dynamic battlefields, unleash devastating special moves, and experience a grand tale of war and destiny.

Then, test your melee skills with up to 4 people worldwide in online multiplayer mode!

From tough fists, a sharp blade, to even a hefty bird, there is a play style for everybody.

A young genius, an old-fashioned scholar, a love-crazy battler, and twin mystics enter the fray in Utawarerumono: ZAN, so check out the latest character trailer captures the action in their unique fighting styles.

Utawarerumono: Zan  is coming to PS4 on September 10, 2019 (Sept. 13 in Europe).
