Narco Tycoon is an economic strategy game with a top-down 2D view. The developers are focusing on single-player gameplay, which is expected to be very extensive and varied. Players will be able to design and build drug factories from scratch, taking care of the smallest details of the production process. The gameplay will also involve, among others, managing the members of the organisation, taking care of the proper distribution of goods, fighting for market dominance and impunity, as well as research and development works. Your main goal will be to completely take over the drug business in the city.

Type The Name Studio is comprised of people with considerable experience in the industry, gained at such companies as TopWare Interactive, Teyon or Flying Wild Hog. Narco Tycoon will be published by Ultimate Games S.A. As emphasised by the developers, the game is still at an early stage of production, and the first trailer has been released for demonstration purposes only.

“We will give the players a wide array of options and a lot of freedom in building their drug empire. We are developing a very extensive production system, with total freedom when it comes to room planning and equipment layout, but achieving a good quality of the product will require them to properly care for, among others, the right temperature, air quality etc. A similar rule will apply to the members of the organisation – each of them will be unique, and properly assigning jobs and tending to the needs of given characters will also be of vital importance. In the same way, for example when fighting for market domination, players will be employing various tactics – some solutions will be based purely on physical force, others will lean towards diplomacy and economy” – says Marcin Steliga, Lead Designer at Type The Name Studio.
