This motorcycle racing sim is developed by KT Racing, a development studio specialising in racing games and known for creating the first TT Isle of Man game and other games based on the WRC franchise.
TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 will recreate the Snaefell Mountain course even more accurately and offer a vastly improved riding experience so that all the thrills of racing are faithfully captured. More content and features will be shared soon.
Created in 1907, the Isle of Man TT is one of the world's most iconic races for motorcyclists.
It is certainly the most demanding and difficult motorcycle race. The course snakes through the Isle of Man's winding and narrow roads. Riders reach speeds of over 300 km/h, take off over bumps and scrape against low walls on a 60-km course with more than 250 bends to be memorized by heart: it's a breathtaking challenge!
Featuring a fictitious motorcycle racer called James Wilson, the videos take us through his preparation for the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy.
For this new edition of the game, the teams at KT Racing have created the perfect playground, a biker's paradise. Accessible from the Career and Free Roam modes, this open area is a place for riders to train, test their bike set-ups and push their skills to the limit on fast corners, tight bends and long straights where you can exceed speeds of 186 mph (300 km/h). As well as the ability to free roam, riders can tackle various challenges in different parts of the area, such as pursuits and time attacks. This bikers' paradise is the ideal training ground to prepare for the legendary Isle of Man circuit.
In Career mode, players can live their motorcycling dream: win the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy. After proving themselves on one of 18 tracks, amateur riders can sign with a team, obtain new bikes and enter a variety of championships. Throughout the seasons, they need to manage their finances and reputation, plan their calendar and change teams to ride with different Superbike and Supersport bikes. By completing objectives set by these teams, players will win special rewards that will help them progress to the next level. Once their bike is optimized and their riding skills honed, they will get the chance to land the ultimate prize: winning the Senior TT!
The bike physics have been rebuilt from the ground up to create ultra-realistic behaviour. The gyroscopic effect is now completely integrated for more precise steering, and speed wobbles have been added to alert riders that a fall could be imminent. The brakes and shock absorbers have also been redesigned. They now respond to all bumps in the road and create a riding experience that is much more faithful to what a real motorcyclist feels.
From the handlebars of your bike, shave valuable seconds off your time by using your opponent's slipstream to pick up speed, and find the best line in bends to maximize your bike's grip. Managing wear and tear of parts is also part of the game experience: the brakes, suspensions, engine and tyre temperature all need to be monitored for the best ride and to reach the finish line of the 60km circuit, especially if you complete all six laps of the race!
TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 19, 2020, followed by Nintendo Switch at a later time.
