In Age of Wonders: Planetfall, players will emerge from the dark age of a fallen galactic empire to craft a new future for their people. Exploring the planetary ruins and encountering other surviving factions that have each evolved in their own way, players will unravel the history of a shattered civilization.

Emerge from the cosmic dark age of a fallen galactic empire to build a new future. Build an empire with one of six unique factions, ranging from the militant Vanguard to the dinosaur-riding Amazons and the cyborg-zombies of the Assembly. Progress through each faction’s missions using wits, military strength and diplomacy, exploring planetary ruins and encountering other survivors as the history of a shattered civilization unravels.

Fight, build, negotiate and technologically advance the way to utopia, in a deep single player campaign, on random maps and against friends in multiplayer.  

Age of Wonders: Planetfall is a turn-based strategy game that’s heavy on combat, with an immersive tactical battle system. In Planetfall you can recruit, create, and mod a large variety of units for several unique species that all operate differently on the battlefield. Utilize your wits, as well as cover, firepower and secret technologies to win battles, land, and loot.

The universe in Age of Wonders: Planetfall is a colorful one, full of mystery and wonder. The aspect of the game being set in a galactic post-apocalypse is a means to explore the planets of Star Union, rather than a drab reminder of previous civilizations’ failures. The story of the game is told emergently in the world maps, and by exploring you can encounter new technologies, other surviving species, and uncover lore that will let you puzzle together what really happened to the mighty Star Union.

Introducing a brand new playable faction, expanded worlds, unique and formidable challenges, and alternate playstyles, this colossal expansion brings the chaos of the void to Planetfall.

Invasions puts players at the forefront of tactical conquest and apocalyptic thrill in the most expansive addition to Age of Wonders: Planetfall yet. Planetfall initially stations players among shattered military factions on an untamed planet. In Invasions, players switch roles into the conqueror’s chair and deploy as the Shakarn, a race of vicious lizardmen ready to deceive, disrupt, and destroy everything in their path to universal domination. Invasions also introduces the Therians, a mysterious faction of anthropomorphic NPCs who combined their DNA with that of animals to catalyze their evolution. Diplomacy and dispute resolution are twice as delicate with two new factions in play.

Planetfall’s world is bigger and better than ever before. Two entirely new campaign maps have been introduced, as well as a juggernaut-style game mode where players team up to challenge a single player with a vast empire on a conquered world. Invasions also brings a host of unpredictable environmental events to the game, with everything from pirate invasions to superstorms to solar flares. Finally, players face the ultimate late-game challenge as the enigmatic Voidbringers use trans-dimensional warfare to rain down legions of enthralled soldiers across their empires. When the Invasions arrive, Planetfall will never be the same.
