'Skyhill: Black Mist' (ALL) Reveals Story, Special Editions - Trailer

by Rainier on May 19, 2020 @ 1:29 a.m. PDT

Skyhill: Black Mist is a rogue-like survival game where you explore the vast and varied locations of the haunted condominium, manage your depleting supplies and take part in stealth-oriented encounters.

In Skyhill: Black Mist players awake inside a huge and luxurious condominium built by Skyhill Inc., an omnipotent bio-tech corporation that controls every aspect of the entire city. As one Skyhill’s new employees, players will follow the game’s hero as he moves into the new apartment unaware of what is to come. Things quickly go terribly wrong and players will have to contend with the dark monsters and possessed cultists that have suddenly invaded mazelike corridors of the Skyhill complex as they search for the protagonist’s missing daughter. Players will have to survive in the labyrinth of hallways and avoid a threatening black mist which has turned humans into vile creatures.

In Skyhill: Black Mist players will explore the vast and varied locations of the haunted condominium, manage depleting supplies and take part in stealth-oriented encounters. Whether opting for brutal force, remaining unseen or by finding hidden passages to avoid obstacles, players will be able to choose how to overcome the difficulties they’re presented in Black Mist. Caution is key in Black Mist as enemies are extremely dangerous, the environment is unforgiving and even slightest mistake can result in a heavy cost. Skyhill: Black Mist presents players with a unique blend of stealth-action, survival and RPG genres set in modern dystopian world.

Skyhill: Black Mist, the second installment of the series, is a combination of classic horror and gameplay straight from survival games.

The game loosely parallels the original concept, but gameplay-wise it’s a revolutionary step forward. This time the developers moved from 2D to 3D, presenting the action in an isometric view. The game mechanics have been significantly enhanced with stealth elements and solutions known from metroidvania-like games, including the ability to re-explore already visited locations to find previously inaccessible items and information. An important element of the game, also improved compared to the original, is the crafting system that allows players to craft items that will help them survive in the most difficult conditions.

The story in Skyhill: Black Mist is inspired by the classic horror cinema, while also introducing mysterious and paranormal elements that we associate with such series as Stranger Things. The player cannot be sure what is true and what is an illusion. Locked in a haunted luxurious building complex owned by the mysterious corporation Skyhill Inc., he tries to understand who or what stands behind the eponymous Black Mist that turns people into mindless monsters.

“We are happy to reveal this new Story Gameplay trailer and Special Editions info to our great Skyhill community and fans.” - said Michal Gembicki, Klabater co-founder. - “Mandragora team is hard at work creating a new experience that will bring anxiety to the players worldwide, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and stealth action.”
