The adventure is inspired by a short film made by the same company and director, the award winning Robot Will Protect You. ENCODYA has the same main characters and setting.
Neo Berlin 2062. Tina – a nine-year-old orphan – lives with SAM-53 – her big clumsy robot guardian –in a rooftop makeshift shelter in Neo-Berlin, a dark megalopolis controlled by corporations. Tina is an urban jungle kid, who has learned to live alone, scavenging from city dumpsters of the dystopian city and eking out a living from scraps. Her funny robot is always with her, programmed to protect her no matter what.
One day, the little girl discovers that her father left her an important mission: to finish his plan to save the world from grayness! Tina and SAM embark on an incredible adventure across different realities full of bizarre robotic creatures and grotesque human beings. Through puzzles and exciting dialogues, they’ll find out the true meaning of being alive.
First of all, ENCODYA is perfectly on schedule. We have completed Part 1 and our testers are already playing it. Part 2 is also on its way and it should be ready by end of May.
The game will be in 5 parts and we aim to finish them all by September, so we’ll have some months for testing before the release!
Everything so far is going as planned.
The game is developed by Nicola Piovesan and Chaosmonger Studio. It’s the first big game project for what is usually an award winning film production company. Coming from the world of cinema and animation, however, is a quality statement for important elements that should identify a video game, such as the story line, visual aesthetic, acting, music and sound immersion.
ENCODYA is in development for PC (Steam - GOG.com), scheduled for late 2020.
