'Dreadlands' Early Access Update Improves Visuals, UI, Skill System And More.

by Rainier on May 27, 2020 @ 9:31 a.m. PDT

Dreadlands is a new turn-based skirmish game set in a living post-apocalyptic shared world.

Explore Dreadlands by traveling across its many regions with your misfit gang of miscreants and mercenaries. The game is set in a Shared World where players frequently encounter and interact with each other. Sometimes they cooperate, other times they pick fights in bloody PvP battles.

Build your gang from any of the distinctly different factions inhabiting Dreadlands. Level up and unlock new spectacular tactics to use on the battlefield. Manage your base by purchasing upgrades. And find unique artifacts to combine into new powerful gear.

Dreadlands allows you to carve your own path, find hidden bunkers filled with artifacts from the old world, play an epic story-driven campaign together with your friends in coop and face off against other players in intense PvP battles.

Welcome to the colorful apocalypse, and good luck.

The Tempered Steel update provides an extensive update to the game's visuals, UI and on-boarding flow. Additionally the skill system was massively overhauled with 70+ new skills all spread out over individual skill trees. As if the Dreadlands wasn't dangerous enough, both Heavy Machineguns and Flamethrowers were added to the game too. So things are sure to heat up!

“The Dreadlands community has been invaluable in helping us shape and craft a rewarding turn based strategy experience and we’d love to bring even more players into that community feedback process” Said Blackfox CEO and Dreadlands Creator Peter Nilsson.

Dreadlands is now available through Steam Early Access, and is currently running a 30% off sale.
