Games Done Quick is a series of charity video game marathons. These events feature high-level gameplay by speedrunners raising money for charity. Games Done Quick has teamed up with several charities in its 10-year history, including Doctors Without Borders and Prevent Cancer Foundation. To date, Games Done Quick has raised over $28 million for charity.

Like Summer Games Done Quick 2020 Online last month, the event will be broadcast on the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel from the GDQ studio, with speedrunners participating from the safety of their homes.

“While we eagerly await the day we can see our speedrun family and friends again, we will be continuing with an online format for AGDQ 2021 so that we can continue to observe best practices in keeping our community safe in the midst of COVID-19,” said Kasumi Yogi, Director of Marketing and Business Development of Games Done Quick. “We hope that conditions surrounding the pandemic improve so we can return to a venue for future events.”
