'Guilty Gear -Strive-' (ALL) Introduces Revamped Anji Mito Character - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Jan. 4, 2021 @ 10:29 a.m. PST

Guilty Gear -Strive- is the latest entry in the fighting game franchise, and upholds the series' reputation for groundbreaking hybrid 2D/3D cell-shaded graphics and intense, rewarding gameplay.

Guilty Gear -Strive- will bring the franchise to the next level with new gameplay and updated design, created by the main development team that is lauded over their previous work.

Sophisticated game mechanics designed to bring out the mind games we know fighting games for, including the audacious new wall-break mechanic. The drama heats up as you and your opponent clash!

With zoom-ins and slow motion camera effects, impressive text visuals and top-notch animation quality, Guilty Gear -Strive- is filled to the brim with visual elements to make the show even more exciting, not only for you but also for those who watch it.

Arc System Works revealed that the release version of Guilty Gear -Strive- will use rollback netcode for online play. Please note that the rollback implementation is still being developed so the upcoming closed beta will be using a delay-based implementation.

Arc System Works announced the return of fan-favorite Anji Mito and his signature weapons with an all new visual style.

Anji is one of the few surviving Japanese people. He can be hot-blooded, acting on his intuition rather than reason. It's easy to recognize his actions as direct and lacking foresight, but he isn't an optimist---he simply isn't very careful. Although he doesn't go out of his way to preach his sense of justice to others, he openly shows his distaste for anything he considers warped or unfair.

Anji Mito is the 14th character to be added to Guilty Gear -Strive-.

The latest chapter in the Guilty Gear franchise will finally land in the hands of fighting game fans on April 9, 2021 for the PS4, PS5 and PC (Steam) for $59.99, with the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition available on April 6, 2021.
