'Ship Builder' Announced For PC - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Dec. 14, 2021 @ 9:47 a.m. PST

Play with up to three companions and become the best shipwrights on this side of the globe! Explore and gather materials needed to build legendary ships! Soon they will call you a legend as well.

No one ever said becoming a shipwright would be easy, but you know what you are doing. You will turn this tiny dock into a giant shipyard in which you will build legendary ships and boats. With the help of up to 3 of your friends, you will become the best shipwright on this side of the globe.

Choose from a selection of ships based on real-life blueprints and show off your skills as a shipwright! You quickly learn how to build ships you know from history. Soon you will sail on beautiful galleons or cut waves on speedy drakkars.

Search for food and raw materials, and discover new crafting recipes along with hidden treasures. You can immerse yourself in the wilderness’s exploration, which offers many resources necessary for survival and construction of bigger, faster ships.

On the other side of the island, townspeople will help in your company’s growth. They will buy ships and resources you don’t need. That said, you can choose to ignore them and befriend local pirates instead.

Learn how to produce even the smallest elements of your ships through a series of challenges testing your precision and reflexes. Make sure you cast the iron and prep the wood perfectly, so you don’t waste any materials.

"Ship Builder is a game that we've been hard working on. Initially, we thought of dressing the content in the classic framework of shipbuilding simulators, but over time the project has grown to a slightly larger size. Therefore, in the game, you will have the opportunity not only to create a fleet, but also to expand the port and even construct individual ship components. A special realism mode will also be available, in which the player character will have to be kept in good health. Why? To make it capable of hard physical work. After all, an extensive fleet of ships does not fall from the sky by itself!"

Personalize your ship using items you find while exploring. A beautiful statue at the front of your galleon and colourful planks decorating the hull give your ship a more personal look. They also raise the value of ships you produce.

Upgrade your equipment by selling ships and resources you don’t need. Income allows you to create new workstations and process even more materials. This expands your company’s capabilities so larger ships can start their journeys from your docks.

Up to 4 players can join into one session and help each other with gathering resources, building ships, or upgrading the shipyard. You can help each other establish a high position in the online ranking system. It will compare your ship’s speed and value to other players’ boats.

Don’t forget to look after your own health. After all, you can’t work all day without breaks or even a bite of food. You may get sick and skipping days is not good for business.

Ship Builder is in development for PC (Steam).
