Valheim is an open-world exploration survival game set in a vast procedurally-generated purgatory inspired by norse mythology and viking culture. Players are tasked with taking back the realm from the ancient enemies of Odin, building mead halls and castles, crafting weapons and armour, and sailing the seas in search of new horizons and win the favor of the gods.

Valheim is a game about exploring a huge fantasy world inspired by norse mythology and viking culture. You start your adventure at the relatively peaceful center of Valheim. The further from the center you travel, the more challenging the world becomes. But you will also find more valuable materials that you can use to craft deadlier weapons and sturdier armor. You will also build your own viking strongholds and outposts all over the world. Eventually you will build a mighty longship and sail the great oceans in search of exotic lands … but be wary of sailing too far...

Valheim is a huge procedurally-generated world, inviting players to explore lush forests, snow-topped mountain ranges and mystical meadows, all presented in striking Lo-Fi graphics. Valheim offers a dodge & block based combat system with a wide range of weapons for deathless vikings to battle primordial bosses of myth and legend. The viking adventure is playable solo, or with up to nine friends as no one wants to repeatedly face death alone. Between deaths, Valheim offers a flexible house and base building system, intuitive item crafting and ship building, and dedicated servers.

Coffee Stain Publishing and Iron Gate Studio are delighted to reveal that their multiplayer viking survival game Valheim sold more than four million units in just three weeks since it launched on Steam Early Access! In just 21 days on the platform, Valheim attracted over 500,000 peak concurrent players, one of only five games in Steam history to do so. It’s all-time peak player count is currently behind only CS:GO, Dota 2, PUBG and Cyberpunk 2077. 

Iron Gate Studio has already revealed a living Early Access roadmap, promising new biomes, new enemies, and improvements to combat, ships and more.
