'Cloudpunk' (ALL) City of Ghosts DLC Announced - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on March 31, 2021 @ 12:56 p.m. PDT

Cloudpunk is a stylish story-driven cyberpunk game with a unique voxel aesthetic.

Become a courier driver for Cloudpunk Inc., the semi-legal delivery company based in the sprawling city of Nivalis. You go everywhere, from the Marrow below to the spires that pierce the grey clouds high above before scraping the edge of the troposphere. No delivery job is too dangerous, and no one is faster than a Cloudpunk driver.

Your name is Rania. This is your first night working for Cloudpunk, the semi-legal delivery company based in the sprawling city of Nivalis. You go everywhere, from the Marrow below to the spires that pierce the grey clouds high above before scraping the edge of the troposphere. No delivery job is too dangerous, and no one is faster than a Cloudpunk driver.

In this story-based cyberpunk game, you will meet a diverse range of characters including androids, AI and unscrupulous humans at every level of society. Everyone has a story to tell, and in the course of one night in Nivalis, everything will change. A stunning voxel graphics art style brings the open-world city ofNivalis to life as Cloudpunk delivers a vibrant, futuristic open world to live in and explore. From the underground nightclubs to the gardens in the sky, the title combines exploration with narrative to provide a compelling take on the cyberpunk genre.

Get ready to find out that no delivery job is too dangerous, and nobody is faster than a Cloudpunk driver.

As well as continuing the main storyline, City of Ghosts introduces a host of new features, including street racing, vehicle customization, and a second playable character.

Delivery driver Rania is in trouble - again. After surviving the events of the original Cloudpunk, she’s drawn the ire of monolithic courier corporation Curzona. With debt collectors, homicidal cyborgs and at least one death cult on her trail, Rania might not have a single friend left in the city of Nivalis. Meanwhile, deadbeat gambler Hayse has been set an impossible task: to clear all his debts by the end of the night. Their stories overlap and intertwine in this expansive DLC, which exceeds the length of the original game.

City of Ghosts features:

  • Experience the direct sequel to Cloudpunk, seeing Nivalis through eyes old and new.
  • A brand new, fully-voiced campaign longer than the base game
  • Their fate is in your hands: unlock different endings depending on choices you make in-game.
  • Customise your HOVA and compete in breakneck street races.
  • Explore new areas, meet new characters, and experience new mysteries in a gorgeous futuristic cityscape.

“Going back to Nivalis has been a thrill,” says Marko Dieckmann, studio head of ION LANDS. “It might be a DLC, but City of Ghosts has a sequel’s worth of content. It’s a darker, tenser, more complex story, and we can’t wait for people to experience it.”

Key Features:

  • Explore an immense vertical cyberpunk city with your hover car and on foot
  • Unravel mysteries in a world of corporate conspiracy, hackers and rogue AI through the eyes of Rania
  • Meet a diverse range of characters and immerse yourself in their everyday lives
  • Your decisions will have a lasting impact on the inhabitants of Nivalis
  • Discover hidden places and items unlocking additional stories

Cloudpunk is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC (Steam).
