Z-Software Acquires Silver Seed Games

by Rainier on April 26, 2021 @ 8:41 a.m. PDT

Z-Software, known for developing Autobahn Police Simulator 2 and Dustwind, announced that it will be expanding its team thanks to the acquisition of Silver Seed Games.

Z-Software was founded in Dortmund in 2008 and has been operating as an independent game studio. Since its start, the company worked on a large number of titles as an external partner as well as produced over 17 of its own video games for various platforms. Among the most successful game titles are the games from the Autobahn Police Simulator series and Dustwind.

Silver Seed Games was founded in 2013 by students of the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg. Since then, they have established themselves on the market as an independent service provider. Their best-known cooperation partners included game developer studios such as Z-Software GmbH and Promotion Software GmbH as well as companies from the automotive industry and other public institutions.

Thanks to many years of cooperation on various games, it became clear that an integration of Silver Seed Games’ team in the structures of Z-Software would be a feasible option. Both companies agreed that this acquisition will be a step which will benefit both teams and their respective goals.

"We are pleased that our friends from Magdeburg have decided to join us. We appreciate the reliability of Silver Seed Games, that we have seen during our previous cooperation," said Z-Software CEO Andreas Heldt

"We are happy about this great step. It is a good sign for our region, for our company and for our team. It helps us to do what we want: Developing games. It was a good opportunity at the right time!,“ added Silver Seed Games CEO Enrico Gebert

This acquisition will allow both companies to grow and expand, realize their goals on the gaming market and diversify Z-Software’s portfolio of games even more. With the integration of the team from Magdeburg, the company has now grown to 18 employees and is placed in two locations in Germany.
