Ambition: A Minuet in Power is an intriguing visual novel brought to life by an original score from BAFTA nominated composer John Robert Matz, best known for his work on Gunpoint and For the King.

It’s March 19th, 1789 and King Louis XVI rules over France from the gilded halls of Versailles. France is a country of elegance and poverty, of ancient tradition and unstoppable change. It is a country on the brink of revolution.

Use your calendar to plan your commitments each week in Paris, and more importantly, who you do them with. In a city marching towards revolution, time is of the essence, and your enemies have agendas of their own! Attend parties, mingle with the rich and powerful, learn their secrets, and use this to get the wealth and power you deserve. Find true love in an opulent world of ever-shifting alliances, that grows more dangerous by the day.

Ensnare the hearts of Parisian nobles and use their influence to your advantage. Change the outcome of political events, snub your rivals, and be lavished with expensive gifts. Turn gossip into profit by selling the secrets you learn, but be careful! Your own credibility and security are also at stake. Originally planned for May 26, 2021, publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Joy Manufacturing Company announced Ambition: A Minuet in Power is getting delayed until August 2021.

The reason for an initial delay is that our dear Camille found a few nasty bugs on her daily cleaning routine. We'll have to properly squash those before we release, because we want the experience to be as smooth as possible for everyone.

Of course, it won't actually take until August to fix these bugs, but we can't just release the second we're confident the game runs silky smooth. One major reason is that June and July are usually dominated by Triple A games and news, leaving little space for an indie visual novel to be noticed! Delaying until August also means the PC and Switch releases are closer together, which is nice for our Nintendo friends who want to avoid spoilers.

We sincerely apologize for the delay. We were as excited as you all were for the launch, but we'll hold on to the hype a little longer!
