'Hitman III' Kicks Off Season of Lust, Content Roadmap Revealed - Trailer

by Rainier on July 27, 2021 @ 10:50 a.m. PDT

Hitman World Of Assassination is the dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy, taking players around the world on a globetrotting adventure to sprawling sandbox locations, with Agent 47 returning for the most important contracts of his career.

Supported by his Agency handler, Diana Burnwood, Agent 47 joins forces with his long-lost friend Lucas Grey. Their ultimate mission is to eliminate the partners of Providence, but they are forced to adapt as their hunt intensifies. When the dust settles, 47 and the world he inhabits will never be the same again.

Featuring six meticulously detailed locations packed full of creative opportunities, Hitman III gives players the unrivaled freedom to complete their objectives in a game world that reacts to everything they do. All of this is made possible by IOI’s award-winning Glacier technology, which powers Hitman III’s immersive game world to offer unparalleled player choice and replayability.

Hitman III players can import locations from the previous games in the trilogy and have more than 20+ locations under one roof. All of the improvements to rendering, animation and AI introduced with Hitman III can be enjoyed across all three games, making Hitman III the ultimate place to play the entire World of Assassination trilogy.

With the launch of Hitman III’s Lust DLC comes an entirely new season of free content. Here’s what you can expect from Hitman III’s Season of Lust

The Season of Lust Roadmap (July 21 - August 30) includes:

  • July 27 - August 8: Play Markesh for free
  • July 30 - August 9: The Heartbreaker (Hitman III Elusive Target)
  • August 5: The Dartmoor Garden Show (Permanent Event)
  • August 12: Featured Contracts from Shacknews
  • August 12 - August 22: Play A House Built On Sand free
  • August 20 - August 30: The Entertainer (Elusive Target)
  • August 26: Featured Contracts from the Hitman Community

This season also includes new unlockables, such as the ICA 19 Goldballer and SMG Raptor RubyRude.

Seven Deadly Sins Act 4: Lust (Premium Content)

Your journey through HITMAN 3’s Seven Deadly Sins continues with Act 4: Lust. This time, you’re in Berlin…

This new content includes the Lust Assignation Escalation, a unique one-stage contract that tasks you with hunting down safes and blowing them open (alternatively, keys are available) to collect intel on a secret admirer. Collect the clues and observe everyone on the dancefloor to identify the secret admirer and the Pretenders. Each time you start the contract, the admirer will be randomly selected to make each playthrough different and put all of your sleuthing skills to the test.

Completing the Lust Assignation brings three unique rewards. First, the Scarlet Suit, a red snakeskin suit complemented by matching driving gloves and sunglasses. The perfect outfit to wear when winning hearts (or breaking them).

Next, The Serpent’s Bite, a remotely detonated explosive that is crafted to look like a loosley coiled snake. It’s made with only the most descriminating and aesthetic assassins in mind, if not the most discreet. Finally, The Serpent’s Tongue, a unique crossbow loaded with blinding darts. The red and black snake motif is a guaranteed conversation starter.

Each act of the Seven Deadly Sins be be purchased individually, or together at a reduced price as part of the Seven Deadly Sins Collection.

Location Rotation: Marrakesh

Marrakesh is the next location to be added to our free rotation, giving all HITMAN 3 players the chance to take in eveything that the Red City has to offer for a limited time. Originally released as the third episode of HITMAN 1, Marrakesh tasks you with eliminating two targets in the sweltering heat of North Africa. There are protesters surrounding the Swedish embassy, a bustling market to explore and plenty of secrets hidden in a nearby abandoned school…

The Heartbreaker:  Mendoza Elusive Target

The wedding planner from hell is HITMAN 3’s next Elusive Target and he’s en route to Mendoza. The Heartbreaker is supposed to make dream weddings become a reality, but you’ll rarely have a fairytale ending with him involved. He has his own unique way of breaking the hearts of his victims and Agent 47 has been tasked with making sure there are no more. You’ll have 10 days and one chance to eliminate him.

Permanent Event – Dartmoor Garden Show

Welcome to the Dartmoor Garden Show, a brand-new, free and permanent event for all HITMAN 3 owners that arrives on August 5th.

This unique event is Dartmoor like you’ve never seen it before. With bright skies above, four distinct gardens have been installed in the mansion grounds to showcase the pinnacle of horicultural excellence from around the world. Each garden has been curated by a world-class gardner that will present their best blooms to three judges – who you might recognise as familiar characters from the opening of the Burj Al-Ghazali in Dubai. With unique installations, new gardeners and returning characters as the judges, there’s a lot going on – but we’re just getting started.

The Dartmoor Garden Show will play out as a three stage Escalation on your first playthrough, where a client and accomplice are randomly assigned, meaning that the winner of the Garden Show (which is based just as much on who is alive to claim the prize, as it is based on the quality of the gardens) will be different each time. Once you’ve completed all three stages once, you’ll unlock the Summer Sightseeing Suit, the perfect companion for your future playthroughs.

You’ll also unlock Deterministic Mode, which can be activated by resetting the Escalation back to Stage 1 and choosing a newly-unlocked Starting Location. In this new mode for the Dartmoor Garden Show, we remove the random element and give you full control to decide who should be left alive to claim the prize of Dartmoor’s Greatest Gardner.

Finally, Contracts Mode is fully enabled for the Dartmoor Garden Show, giving you that chance to create your own contracts on any of the NPCs at the event. Craft your own narratives, setup your own challenges and compete for bragging rights with your friends.

Featured Contracts from Shacknews

On August 12th, the first batch of Featured Contracts for the Season of Lust will arrive. The Hitman fans at Shacknews will be in the driving seat and their destination is Berlin for their own personal take on how a Lust-themed contract should play out.

These contracts will make it possible to unlock the SMG Raptor by RubyRude. Rack up 50 completions across HITMAN 3 locations and it’s yours to keep.

Location Rotation: A House Built On Sand

Return to Marrakesh in the dark of night and experience one of the ‘bonus missions’ from HITMAN 1 for a limited time in the location rotation. With new targets to eliminate and challenges to complete, this reworked version of Marrakesh promises fresh experiences and new fortunes.

The Entertainer / House Built on Sand (Marrakesh) Elusive Target

Mr Giggles was the final Elusive Target in HITMAN 1 and he’s back on the streets for another round. Your objectives: Eliminate him and retrieve his client list. Simple. He’ll be roaming the dimly-lit streets of Marrakesh by night for 10 days, but Free Starter Pack players will need to act fast and make sure they access the contract during the location rotation.

As the first Elusive Target in Marrakesh for HITMAN 3, this is the first chance for players to unlock the Summer Suit with Gloves. If you haven’t already completed an ET in Marrakesh, that puts something extra on the line for getting this contract done.

Featured Contracts from the Hitman Community

We wrap up the content drops in the Season of Lust with a fresh batch of Featured Contracts, direct from the dedicated Hitman community. With the Dartmoor Garden Show added to the Contracts Mode roster, there’s a good chance you’ll see this location featured here for the first time. Whatever the community comes up with, it’s a safe bet that you’ll enjoy it!

Goldballer

Yes, the ICA 19 Goldballer can be unlocked by completing the newly added “Untouchable” challenge. Simply complete the campaign mission with the same name in the Carpathian Mountains and the gold version of Agent 47’s signature weapon will be yours to keep. This highly desired weapon is a perfect fit for the Season of Lust and can be unlocked at any point in this season and beyond.

Lust and any of the past or future individual installments can be purchased individually for $4.99 or players can buy the whole Seven Deadly Sins collection for $29.99.

Hitman III’s sandbox locations give you complete freedom to approach your objectives in any way you want. As well as the new multi-function camera, you’ll also be able to interact with the game world in new ways to access new opportunities and paths through each level. Want to organize a meeting with your target? Check. How about opening elevator doors to access a new route? You can do that too and so much more.

As you explore each mission and complete challenges, you’ll rise through 20 Mastery tracks that will unlock new tools, weapons and even Starting Locations that will let you begin your next playthrough with a big advantage – possibly even in a disguise. All of the items and weapons that you unlock in a Mastery track are added to your permanent inventory, so you’ll be able to pick and choose from them no matter what mission you want to take on next.

Hitman III has been made with replayability front and center. You simply cannot see and do everything that a mission has to offer in a single playthrough, and the Mastery tracks keep things fresh as you take new approaches, use new items and discover previously unexplored areas.

Depending on how you choose to complete your objectives, you’ll be awarded with a Playstyle at the end of each mission. From the coveted Silent Assassin to a Hired Gun and everything in between, there’s a Hitman style for every player. Maybe you’re a Marksman?

Hitman III will have full PS VR support. Yes, that means you can traverse the outside of the tallest building in the (Hitman) world in PS VR! If you own the previous games from the trilogy on PS4, you can also access locations from them within Hitman III. That’s more than 20 Hitman locations from the World of Assassination trilogy to enjoy in PS VR.

You can either play Hitman III in PS VR natively on your PS4 or via backward compatibility on PS5. To make sure all PS VR owners can experience the game in VR, we’re including a free digital copy of the PS4 version of Hitman III with all PS5 copies, whether you choose to buy it via disc or digital.

Hitman III will look, sound and play better than ever with improvements to lighting, reflections, animation and AI. Chongqing also features full water effects, with details such as rain drops hitting Agent 47 and his clothes getting wet, all adding to the immersion of experiencing Hitman III.

On next-gen consoles, Hitman III will run in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second with HDR support.

Hitman III is currently available for Nintendo Switch (through Cloud Technology), PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC (Epic Games Store).
