The top down view and streamlined mechanics make the game uniquely accessible and fun, but it’s no easy task to be the final survivor on an island filled with 64 wild and insane animals. The island and roster of genetically modified animals are constantly expanding and changing with updates, and each animal can be customized with different outfits, tombstones, death explosions, weapons and more.

Modus Games and developer Pixile Studios announced Super Animal Royale is getting its first double XP weekend beginning today, July 29th, at 6pm PT. Season 0.5 (S.A.R.’s second Early Access season) kicked off last month with the Beach Party Pass and now players can progress even faster through the Animal Pass with double XP earned today through August 1.

Additionally, the 32v32 S.A.W. VS REBELLION mode will be available on Xbox consoles starting today, previously only playable on Steam. Squads of up to four players can load into matches and are then sorted into one of two teams of 32. The goal of this mode is to either eliminate all enemies, or successfully hold 3 out of 4 of the flags around the island for a set amount of time. Once either of these objectives have been completed, the players on that team will win the match. The mode plays on themes from the game’s backstory in which the Super Animal World (S.A.W.) security forces fought to hold onto control of the park from a rebellion staged by a band of Super Animals.

In case double XP wasn’t already enough help for completing your Animal Pass, the new Animal Pass Archive system, arriving in the game’s next update, will allow players to continue making progress on past seasons they own. “The Archive” will allow players to complete prior season passes at their own pace. Current Animal Pass seasons will be available for 550 S.A.W. Tickets, and previous seasons will be available for 750 S.A.W. Tickets once moved into the archive.
