During the day, players will traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which only appear after sundown. Players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning's first light.

During a special episode of Dying 2 Know prepared for gamescom, Lead Game Designer Tymon Smektała informed fans around the world they will be able to play the ultimate open-world zombie game on portable consoles together with their friends.

The exact release date is not yet known.

A single playthrough of Dying Light Platinum Edition will provide fans with over 100 hours of single-player gameplay and countless additional adventures when playing with friends and exploring the world in co-op mode.

The physical release of the Platinum Edition on Nintendo Switch will contain:
