As the youngest heir of an ancient bloodline of proud Monster Keepers, you step out into the world to follow in your ancestors' footsteps. You will gather a party of monsters to grow and train. Meanwhile, a series of unsettling events worries the experienced Keepers of the Monster Sanctuary. This is the beginning of a journey to unravel the cause of this mystery that threatens the peace between humans and monsters.

Monster Sanctuary is the idea of combining monster collecting, turn based combat and metroidvania-like exploration. Any monster you encounter can become a part of your own party. Additional monsters provide a lot of tactical options in combat or allow you to overcome certain obstacles to explore new areas.

Every monster has a unique skill tree. This lets you individualize your monster to pursue different strategies. Feeding and equipping your monsters to improve their stats further emphasizes this aspect.

The combo system gives additional depth to the combat. Each individual hit increases the damage of the next moves within the same combat turn. The loot system challenges you to find the quickest and most efficient way to end a battle - rewarding you with better loot. Grind and find the best combo to earn the rarest monster eggs!

We are very happy to announce that a free DLC for Monster Sanctuary is in the works! It will add a new area to the game, as well as new Monsters and more. Be the first Monster Keeper in history to uncover the Forgotten World and its secrets and to catch a variety of ancienct Monsters that were long thought to be extinct.

The free Forgotten World DLC is coming to al platforms in 2022, between Q2 and Q3.

We are starting a new Community Monster Contest today! We were so happy with how the previous Monster contests went, that we decided to launch a sixth contest for our Forgotten World DLC! 

This contest will be open to all of our fans! So anyone can submit their Monster designs as well as vote on them. The contest will be held on our Discord server, just as the previous contests, so you will have to join the server if you'd like to participate: 

Once you've joined, please check out the #contest-rules channel. Everything you need to know about the contest is written there as well as some guidance on how your Monster submission should look like.

The submission period is open from today until Monday, October 4th at 9:00am PDT. You are also able to register as a voter during this time, so please don't forget to do that as well. 

There will be three winners. Two Monsters with the most votes from the community and a third Monster that will be directly selected by us, the developers of the game. The winning Monsters will be part of the free Forgotten World DLC and either added to the new area or added to existing areas of the game. 

This is your chance to create something and make it a part of Monster Sanctuary and we can't wait to see all the amazing designs!

We would also like to announce that the next update for Monster Sanctuary (update 1.3) is in the works as well, focusing mainly on bug fixes and balancing changes while we are working on the Forgotten World DLC. It will also start a new PvP season.

Also a quick reminder: The next community-organized PvP tournament is in the sign-up phase right now until September 12th. Sersch, the creator of moi rai, will be participating in this tournament as well! Join for a chance to face off against the person who created Monster Sanctuary.
