With more than ten years of experience creating award-winning AAA quality games for mobile platforms with over 300 million downloads, the studio behind such hits as Dead Trigger 2, Unkilled, and Shadowgun Legends made the decision after recognizing that their latest project is too huge and ambitious to be constrained by a platform with comparatively lesser hardware performance.
Since the founders of MadFinger Games all started their careers by working on such massive titles before establishing the company, we have truly come full circle because this next big step for the studio can be considered as a return to their PC roots. Furthermore, MadFinger Games employs veterans of the video game industry, who left their mark on such renowned games as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Quantum Break, the Mafia trilogy, Hidden & Dangerous 2,and the Vietcong series, with the last two titles solidifying that the studio has talented creators proficient in the hardcore shooter genre.
Intended to keep pushing the boundaries of graphical fidelity, MadFinger Games is also switching game engines from Unity to Unreal 5. This will allow the studio to create their biggest game yet, with a focus on realism and hardcore experiences.
“Although it's hard for us to leave Unity after ten years, Unreal 5 will allow us to achieve a quality that can compete with the best games on the AAA market,” said Marek Rabas, Founder and CEO of MadFinger Games. “I've always wanted to create online worlds, and the time is finally right. It's going to be an ultra-realistic hardcore FPS, and we love that!”
