Ixion combines city-building, survival elements and exploration into a thrilling space opera where players are charged with the task of finding a new home for humanity.

Mankind is trying to escape its fate. The Earth is slowly dying, ravaged after years of human destruction and untold pollution. The stars represent a new beginning and a new home.

Authorized by Dolos Aerospace Engineering Corporation, the Tiqqun space station and its crew need guiding on a perilous journey through space, with the ultimate hope of finding a new home for humanity.

Ixion tasks players with managing station infrastructure and exploring the vast stellar map of known solar systems and those beyond to mine valuable resources and trade with others. Players must research new technologies, unlock new areas within the station, keep the power flowing, and keep your most precious cargo — mankind — alive.

Originally planned for November 16, 2022, Kasedo Games & Bulwark Studios revealed that Ixion will be releasing on Steam and other digital PC platforms worldwide on December 7, 2022.

“From day one, we have wanted to deliver a stand-out game in the strategy genre and the reception so far has been amazing. To have won these big awards is huge and it’s a credit to all the hard work and effort that the Bulwark team have put in so far”, said Christian Woolford, Producer at Kasedo Games. “We’re now very close to a release candidate that we can truly be proud of, we feel that the extra time will mean we can live up to the expectations of our fantastic community.”

In the above video, Bulwark Technical Director, Jérémy Guéry & Game Designer, Arthur James discuss the design & programming side of development and reveal some of the finer points to creating an in-depth game world as they get nearer release.

Key Features:

  • In Dolos We Trust: Maintain trust in the corporation that started this venture or face failure and mutiny. Six sectors can be unlocked within the station, each able to house more population, support new jobs, provide opportunities to monitor the crew with the Data Listening Service. Will you bring hope to the people?
  • Choices in the Dark: Encounter other pockets of survivors, navigate away from the failures and wrecks of others. Ixion leads the player through gripping chapters of story, where new threats and opportunities are presented, all in aid of reaching the final destination, a new home.
  • Frontier Academia: Dolos is famed for its innovative technology and its scientists, but the Tiqqun is cut off. Find what resources you can, research what you do not have. Find new ways to provide for your settlement, construct new buildings to create what's needed. Modify the Tiqqun station, improve it, forge ahead in this odyssey.
  • Occupational Hazards: Space is a dangerous place, with hull breaches, overloaded power supplies, and electrical fires. It is up to you to manage these risks, deal with emergencies, create backup power solutions, and enable extra-vehicular activity.
  • Stellar Exploration: There are new stellar maps to explore. Send out probes to reveal what's hidden, create mining and cargo ships to find resources and trade, commission science expeditions to discover the secrets and threats you'll find out there in space. Encounter other survivors and bring them into the fold of your mission objective: survive.

Ixion is coming to PC (Steam) on December 7, 2022.
