'The Witcher' Season 3 Scheduled For Summer 2023, Blood Origin Spinoff Airing Dec. 25

The Witcher is an fantasy drama web television series created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich for Netflix.

It is based on the book series of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than monsters and beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a special gift, the three must learn to navigate independently the increasingly volatile Continent.

During its Tudum showcase, Netflix revealed that 'The Witcher' Season 3 is planned to air in Summer 2023.

Fans who can't wait for more Witcher lore can tune in to watch the Blood Origin prequel series on December 25, 2022.

Starring Michelle Yeoh, Blood Origin is set in an elven world 1,200 years before the world of The Witcher, and will tell a story lost to time -- the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal 'conjunction of the spheres,' when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.
