They are both cursed to fight each other eternally and even death could not free them from their destiny since they have been granted the gift of immortality. Players will experience this never-ending conflict through 16 challenging levels, each of them with its own flair, facing more than 100 different enemies, defeating more than 20 powerful final bosses (some of them are highlighted in this new trailer) and overcoming all kinds of challenging puzzles.

One of the most important features revealed during the extended gameplay was the leveling system. Aeterna Noctis has a skill tree where the player chooses the upgrades for the King of Darkness through three separate paths: melee combat, survival attributes and magic abilities.

Each one of these ramifications allows a deep degree of specialization but at the same time, are not mutually exclusive. Players are free to upgrade their character as they want.

Spanish development studio Aeternum Game Studios confirmed that “Virtuoso”, the new DLC for Aeterna Noctis, is closer than we expected with an estimated date of November 9, 2023 at $4.99 / €4.99 on all platforms.

Just over a month until players can step into the shoes of the King of Darkness to face the ruthless bosses of Aeterna Noctis and their much more lethal versions. According to the video and images shared by the studio, “Virtuoso” is a boss rush that will allow players to repeat the fights against the wide and varied catalogue of final bosses in the base game as many times as they want, adding new modes of combat, difficulty and attack patterns, exclusive challenges and what seems like a new, unreleased final boss.

“This is one of the modalities most requested by the community, and we have also added some surprises,” the development team points out. Virtuoso will not only include the bosses we already know but also a redesign of their behavior and attacks in a new scenario that will serve as a combat arena and will be presided over by the charismatic Collector. This NPC will challenge us to defeat his specimens, the final bosses of the game, and to overcome each of the boss streaks, organized in different groups.

One thing has become clear to us after learning the details of this imminent DLC: it is content designed for the most demanding players. If you enjoy testing your reflexes and tenacity, you can expect hours of relentless fighting against old acquaintances with added difficulty modes.
