Lachesis or Atropos stars Shirasagi Mana, a private investigator with the unique ability to see the black strings of hate between humans. As Mana spends time in the town, she encounters nightmarish creatures and mysterious deaths. As she tries to find the truth about a long missing person, she meets two sisters with the ability she thought only she possessed.

She searches for her mentor's lost beloved, but the very eyes she was born with, those that can see the black strings of hate, drag her down into the darkness of conspiracy.
