'LEGO Brawls' Base Race Game Mode and Castle Level Update Coming This Week - Trailer

by Rainier on March 29, 2023 @ 2:29 p.m. PDT

LEGO Brawls is a fast-paced LEGO take on multiplayer platforming.

Build your way to the top in this lighthearted, team action brawler where anything can happen. The light-hearted game is the first of its kind, putting players in control of customizable minifigures in a multi-player brawler with levels inspired by iconic LEGO sets.

In true LEGO fashion, LEGO Brawls gives players a slew of customization options to mix and match official LEGO bricks and create unique minifigure brawlers, complete with custom loadouts and power-ups tailored to each player’s preference and play style. Players can compete with everything from baguettes and pie cannons to boomboxes and rocket fists. With a range of multiplayer modes, unique challenges, and win conditions, all members of the family can join in the competitive brick-bashing fun.

A first for the genre, LEGO Brawls enables players to build and compete with customizable minifigures and load-outs tailored to each player’s preference and play style. The multiplayer platformer combines competitive gameplay strategy with light-hearted minifigure mayhem and roughhousing. Players will battle with unique LEGO power-ups, from chickens to hot dog stand shooters to a flying rocket shaped like a fist. They’ll unlock minifigures, power-ups, and emotes as they play through fan-favorite LEGO themes and tussle their way to the top of the global leaderboard. Players can team up and brawl 4v4, party with friends, or play a game mode where it's every minifigure for themself.

Bandai Namco Europe announced that a new Base Race game mode and Castle-themed level are coming to LEGO Brawls. In this fast-paced and action-packed addition to the game’s already impressive lineup of LEGO themes and play options, fans can mine bricks, build towers and destroy the enemy base to emerge victorious in an epic battle for glory!

In the Base Race mode for LEGO Brawls, players must work as a team to collect as many bricks as possible and use them to build a giant tower before their opponent. One catch – the opposing team can also storm the other team's base to steal their bricks. Utilising a solid mix of strategy and skill, players must learn to balance between collecting bricks and attacking the enemy base if they want to seize victory. Moreover, the new update also introduces a variety of new in-game collectibles to LEGO Brawls, including 12 castle-themed LEGO Minifigures, as well as melee weapons, powerups and emotes.

The update will be available on 30th March at 23:00 BST on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and on 1st April at 08:00 BST on Nintendo Switch.
