Set in the densely cluttered streets of Kowlong, filled with obscurity and chaos, this battle action-adventure game casts players as the "Hyoki," an entity devoid of memory and physical form.

His only motive is to eradicate the monstrous beings known as "Slitterheads" crawling around the city, disguising themselves as humans.

Roaming the vibrant neon-lit cityscape, Hyoki must seek out allies among humans known as "Rarities," infiltrate and track dangerous organizations, and engage in battles harnessing the power of blood.

As the suspenseful drama unfolds, delve into the mystery behind Hyoki's existence and the appearance of the Slitterheads.

Bokeh Game Studio revealed new Rarities characters, Echoes of Love Society stage and the organization’s leader, alongside additional gameplay details.

Characters:

• Doni: An ordinary high school student who is far from cheerful, but not exactly lonely either. He grew up in a relatively wealthy family and maintains a certain distance with friends and teachers. He often visits the arcade in the bustling shopping district.
• Tri: A housekeeper who came to Kowlong for work from abroad. She excels at all household chores, especially cooking. With keen intuition, she claims to have a talent for noticing subtle discrepancies in people's behavior, allowing her to learn hidden secrets.
• Yin Yue: One of the leaders of the "Echoes of Love Society". He oversees the members in place of the "Master", who is ill and unable to move around. He is held in high respect within the organization, while also being a master of martial arts.

Stage

Echoes of Love Society

The headquarters of this newly founded organization, constructed in the mountains to evade attention. Its members consist undocumented immigrants as well as financially disadvantaged individuals. They have gathered under the leadership of its "Master" to live together in a communal setting.

Combat

• Fatal Lance (Doni Active Skill): Forms a spear of blood that can pierce any foe. Hold the Skill button to charge its power.
• Revenge Guard (Doni Active Skill): While holding down and enduring enemy attacks, unleashes accumulated damage as a shockwave
• Curse Resist (Doni Common Skill): Doni's Common Skill. When activated, dispels all negative effects, and for a set amount of time negates all new negative effects.
• Sentry Thorns (Tri Active Skill): Consumes blood to create a shrub-like object. It will automatically attack nearby enemies, drawing their attention.
• Bloody Knuckles (Tri Active Skill): During skill effect, causes attacked enemies to bleed. Also has an effect of more easily stunning enemies.
• Crimson Chains (Tri Common Skill): Binds oneself to an enemy with chains of blood, reducing enemy movement speed for a set time.

Slitterhead Traces

A Slitterhead mimicking a human can be unmasked by spraying blood on them. Hyoki's blood is poisonous to the Slitterheads.

Pursuit Marker and Traces

An unmasked Slitterhead may try to flee. Do not let them escape. Chase them down, attack, and kill them. If they get too far away, use possession to close the distance.

Blood Jump

Allows player to launch quickly into the air, as well as attack. A marker will display on locations that can be used as footholds. Keep in mind the marker may be obscured if there is an obstacle in the way.

Blood Recovery

Blood can be absorbed from blood pools to restore Blood Level (HP). These pools are generated when humans or Slitterheads take damage.

Reviving a Dying Character

A character who collapses due to blood loss will be in a near-death state and can be saved if they have not died yet. To revive them, get close and hold the interaction button. They will have a very low Blood Level (HP) after revival, so caution is required.

Severed Arm

Sometimes when hit by an enemy, an arm may be severed. The severed arm can be retrieved. After a set amount of time passes, blood can be consumed to restore it.

Fighting with an Ordinary Human Body

Compared to Rarities with powerful skills, ordinary humans possess limited stamina and attack power, making them incredibly vulnerable in combat. However, it is also difficult to defeat the Slitterheads with just a single Rarity, so in battle it becomes crucial to strategically possess as many humans who are present. Because ordinary human bodies are frail, they can escape danger by possessing another human when in critical situations. Additionally, each character has their own unique active skills, which ordinary humans also possess (all ordinary humans share the same skills).

Blood Popper

Throws a bomb made of coagulated blood. It explodes if it hits something, spraying countless needles of blood in an area.

War Cry

This skill draws the attention of nearby enemies. Switch to a different body after drawing attention to catch enemies off guard or buy time to heal.

• Bodiless "Hyoki" Exposes the Demons Nesting in the Pleasure District: The entity called "Hyoki" finds himself wandering amidst the chaos of Kowlong, plagued by the enigmatic monsters known as "Slitterheads" which mimic humans. Though bereft of all memories, he holds one resolute intention: to eradicate every last Slitterhead. Infiltrating the city, he sets out on a mission to hunt down the Slitterheads masquerading within human society.
• Possession-based High Speed Action: Devoid of physical form, Hyoki's ability allows him to possess and control human bodies at will, turning the people wandering the city into his pawns. With this power he can slip through barriers, assume the identity of specific individuals, and infiltrate dangerous areas and organizations. By rapidly switching hosts, he can also traverse the city at high speed.
• Thrilling Combat Using the Power of Blood: While human bodies are fragile, Hyoki can burn their life force, turning blood into weapons to confront the ferocious Slitterheads. Even when critically wounded, he can continue fighting by switching hosts efficiently. By possessing "Rarities", specific humans who share high sync with Hyoki, he is able to unleash even more powerful attacks and activate various abilities. The cooperative relationship with these "Rarities" holds the key to uncovering the deepening mysteries in the city of Kowlong.
