Goat Simulator 3 is a direct sequel to Goat Simulator, a silly game that started life as an April Fool’s joke born out of a game jam.
Goat Simulator 3 builds on everything fans of the first game loved, raising the baa to brand new heights (sometimes literally), starting an all-new adventure, once again featuring Pilgor the goat. This time she’s found new pastures on the sprawling sandbox island of San Angora, a place where mysteries and chaos follow wherever you go. Players are free to roam around and discover the island’s secrets or, well, just destroy stuff. This is a Goat Simulator, after all.
Built from the gravel up, this next generation of goat simulation has it all; Goats, goats wearing hats, goats riding a goat wearing a hat. There are also unnatural disasters, secret animal societies, triple jumping and probably any other nonsense you could think up. But truly, what is all this exciting newness without friends to explore it with? In Goat Simulator 3, you can gather as a herd of up to 4 friends to be the goats of your dreams, together. Yes, Goat Simulator 3 has online multiplayer!
Much like the original Goat Simulator, the sequel’s gameplay revolves around exploration, puzzle solving and “accidentally” destroying anything in sight - but this time there is so much more of it all. Blast NPCs with alien weapons, start wacky minigames anywhere in the sandbox (keep reading), become a “rhino” and stampede through town (sentence is soon over), join a secret goat society and help them achieve their goals, (hold that breath) drive a car straight into a gas station (what’s up with goats and gas stations anyway?), and so much more! The world truly is your oyster* (puh, you made it!).
But everyone knows you can’t destroy the world if you don’t look good. In Goat Simulator 3, there are so many fashionable items to get your hooves on. If you want to roam around wearing a pink tutu, a giant blonde wig and with paint tins for shoes, who are we to stop you? It differentiates you from that one friend who’s dressed like a medieval knight shooting lasers from their eyes, and the other that’s cosplaying a giant abominable banana (aka Abominana), after all.
Coffee Stain Publishing and Coffee Stain North are excited to reveal that Goat Simulator 3 will be launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, on October 24th.
The base game, alongside all free content updates, and the separate Multiverse of Nonsense DLC, will both be arriving on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with cross-ownership integrated across both console generations as well as cross-saves integrated for Xbox. This means:
- Players that own the Goat Simulator 3 base game, Multiverse DLC, or 2-in-1 bundle on PlayStation 5 will have access to the same content on PlayStation 4, and vice versa.
- Players that own the Goat Simulator 3 base game, Multiverse DLC, or 2-in-1 bundle on Xbox Series X|S will have access to the same content and save files on Xbox One, and vice versa.
Goat Simulator on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will feature local 2-player splitscreen, as well as 2-player online multiplayer for those on the same platform. Other key features include:
- Goat Gear Galore: Choose from over 350 customisation options and be the goat of your dreams. From alternate goat skins to goat gears with unique game-changing abilities, choose what your heart desires!
- Minigame Mayhem: Grab a friend and enjoy 7 unique mini-games across the island of San Angora, including Prop Hunt, Hoofball, and The Floor Is Lava!
- Embark on Your Own Adventure: In this sandbox game, you make the rules! Complete quests, discover secrets and collectibles, or just roam around and cause chaos – whatever floats your goat!
- Additional Content: Goat Simulator 3 has had numerous free content updates since its original launch, and they all come as part of the Gen 8 package! That includes the Easter, Summer, and Holiday updates, with even more to come!
“We’re thrilled to be able to give PS4 and Xbox One players access to our baa-rilliant game.“ said Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North. “With 8th generation consoles joining the party, Goat Simulator 3 will now be available on 8 different platforms... As the kids would say, we really 'ate' with this announcement – they do still say that, right?”
Key Features:
- GOATS: You play as a goat! Pilgor, to be exact. However, you’ll also have the chance to wear the skins of many other ‘goats’. Tall goats, tasty goats, angry goats - all the goats you expect and more.
- MULTIPLAYER: Your friends play as goats too! Goat Simulator 3 has 4 player co-op, locally or online. You’ll be able to travel through the world together, cause cooperative mischief aplenty, and compete in 7 fun multiplayer mini-games, and then not be friends anymore.
- EXPLORATION: Goat Simulator 3’s giant new sandbox has plenty to discover - hidden secrets, quests, collectables and the devs actually bothered to make an ending this time! Use your own four hooves to get around, grind on your butt or buckle up for the ride of your life as all goats can drive cars*.
- CHAOS AND REACTIVITY: Cause all manner of mayhem as you lick, headbutt, crash and explode your way across the map, leaving no NPC unannoyed. Toy with the universally recognised four elements (Fire, Electricity, Oil and Alien Goo), test the limits of the world’s physics and interact with suspicious objects for… surprising results.
- CUSTOMISATION: Players can fully customise their goat’s Head, Back, Feet, Body, Horns and Furs with over 300 different gear parts to choose from - from toilet rolls to tea trays… and other actual clothing items, if you want to be like that. Some gear parts will mutate your playstyle by giving you new abilities, all will alter your perceived sense of style.
Currently available for Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC (Epic Games Store / Steam), Goat Simulator 3 is coming PS4 and Xbox One on October 24, 2024.
