Blending classic fantasy elements with a distinctive American frontier-inspired setting, Arcane Wilds has loaded up the wagon with more than a barrel-load of units, weapons, and tech to research and deploy on the battlefield

No matter how many resources you gather, they become worthless if you can’t prevent them from falling into enemy hands! Arcane Wilds puts an innovative twist on resource management as you gather, steal, and transport vital resources across the plains. Playing too defensive may keep you on the back foot, but going all-out-attack could leave the door open for a surprise raid. Can you strike the right balance?

Battle up to 8 players on handcrafted maps, with a range of enemy AI difficulty settings across three asymmetric factions in Competitive Multiplayer. Or give Mission Survival mode a shot. Tackle generated maps with meta progression, supporting 1-4 players.

Arcane Wilds saddles up for Steam Next Fest on October 14th in preparation for its planned Steam Early Access launch on November 18th.

“Currently, you can play tutorial challenges, cooperative missions with 1-4 players on procedurally generated maps in three unique biomes or skirmish with up to 8 players or AI on handcrafted maps. There are three factions for competitive play and one faction for missions.”

“During Early Access, our focus lies on the following improvements:

Mission mode

• Refine the mission game mode until it reaches its full potential.
• Achieve 3-6 playable factions
• Add more biomes, missions and side objectives
• Allow players to interact with friends on their home islands.

Art

• Overhaul the current low-poly 3D models to a high-poly, detailed art style
• Improve sound effects and extend soundtrack

Other

• Add more more in-game friend interactions through parties, chat and steam community features
• Add higher AI difficulties
• Extend modding capabilities

“The duration of the Early Access phase will depend on various factors, including community feedback, the implementation of new features, and overall game development progress. We anticipate a period of 2-4 years in Early Access, during which we'll continuously iterate and refine the game.”
