Featuring a seamless open world with miles of wilderness to get lost in, Corepunk will allow players to venture to an array of intricately detailed environments inhabited by four distinct cultures. A vast metropolis booming with activity and a lonely camp in the middle of an uncharted desert will be a few of the many destinations travelers can embark to. Unlike most MMO titles, the game will allow players to take on story missions in whichever order they prefer.
Every journey will begin by creating a hero. Each character has a unique set of fighting styles, and each style has a unique set of abilities. These can be tailored gradually through the talents and artifacts players acquire throughout the game. Builds vary immensely depending on the attributes that one prioritizes. Corepunk will feature an extensive economy system, meaning crafting and trading in-game items will be an important part of the player’s experience, too.
Branching quests and alternate endings guarantee that no playthrough will be exactly alike. Embarking on an expedition to find a chest filled with loot, a rare monster, or a wandering merchant with special items may yield a few surprises that players may not have anticipated from the get-go. The fog-of-war system will ensure players will constantly be kept on their toes thanks to dynamic weather and day/night cycles. While it may seem like a hazard at first glance, this system can be utilized to ambush and lure foes into traps during PvP.
Developer Artificial Core is excited to confirm the November 26 Early Access date of Corepunk for PC.
When Early Access begins on November 26, Corepunk will feature three fully voiced story episodes, a robust crafting and gathering system, six diverse character classes, 15 challenging world bosses, and much more.
All pre-orders of Corepunk will give immediate access to the game’s launcher and to the Early Access build, pre-orders will be available before the start of Early Access at the official website.
Corepunk is currently in an active stage of development, and Early Access does not represent the final state of the product. With the start of Early Access, the game will enter the last stage of alpha testing, where the dev team will be fixing bugs, expanding existing systems, continuing to polish the game, adding a lot of content, and getting ready for the beta stage and full release. Corepunk is planned to launch in full by the end of 2025.
Corepunk’s Early Access launch will also be supported by streams and videos from Mythic Talent’s expansive roster of MMORPG, ARPG, and MOBA-focused creators including popular gaming celebrities such as Asmongold, Zizaran, Doublelift, Quin69, and many more. Streams from these creators will begin on November 22 and continue throughout Corepunk’s Early Access period to amplify the game’s reach through Mythic’s broad network of talent.
What to Expect in Corepunk’s Early Access Launch:
- Expansive Open World: Three unique biomes (forest, swamps, and steppes), each with its own set of enemies and challenges
- Story Content: Three fully voiced episodes from Season One, along with a substantial number of side quests, totaling 350 quests
- Deep Itemization: Three tiers of itemization for each type—artifacts, weapons, chips, runes, and consumables—with plans to expand further
- Robust Crafting and Gathering: A deep system that remains relevant throughout your journey, featuring four gathering professions, four crafting professions, and a universal cooking profession, enhanced by the synthesis machine for even more crafting possibilities
- Character Progression: Eight passive talent branches with 120 unique mechanics and 22 weapon specialization talents for each class, allowing for extensive customization
- Diverse Classes: Six weapon specializations (classes/heroes) at launch, with more to come. The developers will release one specialization (class/hero) each month
- Challenging Bosses: 15 world bosses to test your skills and strategies
- Quality-of-Life Features: Numerous subsystems and features designed to enhance your gaming experience
- Future Content: The developers will add the Extraction Prison Island, PvE instances, and more heroes shortly after the start of Early Access, completing the game loop and providing a full-fledged experience
Each encounter in Corepunk’s PvP component will require a great deal of strategy. The keys to success will lie in constantly managing the distance between oneself and the enemy, keeping an eye on one’s ability cooldowns, and knowing each character’s strengths and weaknesses. Victories will be rewarded through the Honor Points system. Weaker players should rest assured knowing that a karma system will prevent them from being steamrolled at the outset.
Of course, Corepunk will include everything that MMORPG fans have come to expect from the genre, including a profound amount of lore, arenas, battlegrounds, guilds, farms, randomly generated dungeons, raids, and crafting and mining professions. Players will also be able to meet and join up with human companions in order to take on harrowing quests that few would dare challenge alone.
Key Features:
- A Cultural Affair: Corepunk's world is divided into four cultures: Quadarri, Elanien, Yorner, and Faiden. Depending on which you align with, each culture offers different skills, clothing customization options, weapons, vehicles, and more
- Good Old MMO Gameplay: Fans of the MMORPG genre will feel right at home with familiar genre standbys like crafting and mining professions, arenas and battlegrounds, guilds, farms, pack deliveries, quests, randomly generated dungeons, raids, and profound lore
