Contenders: Arena is a high-octane 3v3 arena shooter where players will take on the role of Pilots who control powerful robots known as Gladiators and compete across several unique game modes in a futuristic game show.

In Contenders: Arena, Gladiators participate in a high-stakes, futuristic game show comprised of climactic and adrenaline-fueled matches to earn the fame and adoration of countless fans, as well as the favor of powerful and deep-pocketed megacorporation sponsors. The game features 3v3 team-based third-person combat where deep Gladiator customization and builds fit for every playstyle meet stylish maneuverability and thrilling, nonstop action.

Players can choose between multiple Gladiators; Defender, which is a heavily armored, military-suited robot able to take a lot of damage; Striker, which Pilots who favor fighting up close and personal will feel right at home with; and Runner, which is built to take full advantage of the environment and can move around at breakneck speeds. Victory favors teams that successfully prioritize strong coordination and thoughtful Gladiator builds as they compete for the adoration of the crowd. These matches are set within the Contenders Universe, which will see new game modes, narratives, features and more added as time goes on.

Players can jump into the competition and test their skills in Contenders: Arena’s first-ever public demo as part of Steam Next Fest, taking place from February 5 - 12.

Additionally, players can join the Contenders community via Discord to participate in future private tests to provide feedback, engage with the development team and help shape the game.
