Improving Text and Voice Chat

Over the past few months, we’ve taken steps to reduce instances of text chat spam and abuse in GTA Online sessions on PC. We’ve also recently updated voice chat settings across all platforms, which now defaults to OFF for all players. To turn voice chat on, head to Options > Settings > Voice Chat and click the Voice Chat enabled setting to ON.

Our new proactive voice chat moderation system also goes live today on all GTA Online platforms, enabling us to automatically identify and take action against any players found to be in violation of our new Community Guidelines. You can read more about voice chat moderation here.
