'Scholar's Mate' Is A First-person Horror Game Coming To PlayStation, Xbox and PC Later This Month - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on May 14, 2024 @ 9:36 a.m. PDT

Scholar's Mate is an immersive first-person horror experience that puts you in the shoes of Judith, a young woman who wakes up in the gloomy facilities of a psychiatric hospital.

Scholar's Mate is one of the most famous moves in chess where, in four moves, your opponent can finish you off and this is what Scholar's Mate conveys, merging the horror genre with the escape rooms.

Welcome to a new and terrifying experience where our wits are the only thing that can save us from Eddie, a maniac who has kidnapped and locked us in an old and sinister abandoned psychiatric hospital.

In Scholar's Mate we will have to solve a series of complex puzzles to try to get out of the horrible situation we are in. And this would be easy if our captor wasn't constantly lurking in every corner and corridor of this gloomy place.

Eddie can hear you as well as see you. If you run, he'll know where you are, if you shine your torch, he can see you and he can find you too. A relentless enemy who has only one goal: to end Judith's life.

Key Features:

  • A first person horror escape room.
  • Explore and solve the hidden secrets of the hospital to escape.
  • Relentless pursuit by Eddie.
  • Experience the tension with an original soundtrack and immersive sound effects designed to create an eerie atmosphere.

Scholar's Mate is coming PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) on May 30, 2024 at $12,49 | 12,49€.
