Bold, brazen champions must rise in the fight for tomorrow...
Thirty-five years ago, the city of New Libertis was born from an explosive boom of technological marvels. In this new age, industrialist Hieronymus Frazer seeks to secure his legacy and usher in a grand ascension for humanity's elite. To that end, anything and everything may be sacrificed for his greater vision. The fate of the city is in your hands!
Diesel Legacy is a hand-drawn 2v2 fighting game – four players on two teams. Each beautiful stage features three lanes to freely move between, and even when a player is defeated their fight isn't over! Work together to extend combos, parry attacks from beyond the grave, channel your essence to assist your teammate, and secure the double knockout!
Whether you're looking to simply grasp the basics or analyze hitboxes and the frame data of Diesel Legacy's crisp, hand-drawn 60fps animations, you've got all the tools you need to enter the arena at any skill level. Make a mistake once you enter the arena? Diesel Legacy's advanced replay system allows you to rewatch a match and jump in whenever you'd like to make sure you don't make the same mistake again.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age flips the traditional fighting genre formula by placing 2v2 local and online co-op matches front and center in the arena. The game features 10 playable characters at launch, offering distinctly devastating attacks and meaningful shifts to team dynamics and matchups.
Thanks to RealMatch rollback netcode, matches are virtually lag-free, making each punch feel seamless in each online match. Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age also features comprehensive training and story modes for players to refine their skills against AI opponents.
Publisher and developer Maximum Entertainment showcased a new character, Dieselmech, coming to Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age.
Dieselmech, originally designed as a friendly automaton, was repurposed into a mass-produced super soldier after his creator was abducted. These soldiers, camouflaged as “peacekeepers,” were armed with destructive weapons like cannons, using innocent civilians in slums as target practice. However, one particular Dieselmech (DM-00337), retains traces of his creator’s ideals, triggered by a lonely, orphaned kitten. Dieselmech may have the naivety of a child, but his strength is no joke. While still a force to be reckoned with in battle, he is beginning to learn the value of aiding others.
Players can get a feel for the gentle giant turned super soldier in the upcoming PC demo, as part of Steam Next Fest starting June 10.
