PlayFusion announced that an Open Beta Weekend for Ascendant.com will be available on PC via Steam on August 3 and 4. This marks the first time that Ascendant.com will be available publically to players across the globe. Servers will open to all players from August 3 to August 4 at the following times:

Players can sign up for the upcoming Open Beta at the official website or play via the game’s Steam page. Here’s what kind of chaos to expect on August 3: 

• Adapt or die trying: Those are the only options. Every time you go out, the map will be different, and everything wants you dead. With 4 teams and only 3 biocores, someone’s going home empty-handed. To walk away with this life-giving tree sap, you’ll need to plan, coordinate, and adapt when that plan goes to shit.
• A Bio-Punk future: After being on ice for a thousand years, you’ve woken up to a Bio-Punk world that’s been beaten to a pulp by a cataclysmic event known as the Cascade. Luckily, the neon jumpsuits, leg warmers, and ‘80s rock anthems survived. Unfortunately, so did the tank-sized poison-spitting turtle things.
• Dress to kill: Deep weapon customization affects not just the look of your arsenal, but also how they play, allowing you to adapt and enjoy lighting fools up even more. Plus, choose from hundreds of options to create a character that represents the futuristic, 80s, radical version of yourself. Whatever you choose, it’ll have blood all over it soon enough.
• Don’t just stand there: Do something! Between matches, that is. When you’re not clocking headshots or running for your life, relax and explore the lobby. Here you can meet fellow fighters, challenge others to duels, try out weapons, play mini-games, prepare your loadout and more.

This cunning creature can burrow underground, disappearing from sight, only to emerge from the depths to deliver a devastating blow. Beware of the Burrower's juvenile minions, who will swarm and attack any player engaged in combat with their parent. Defeat the Burrower and claim its valuable loot, including the ultimate weapon in the game – the hyper cannon.
• Deathbringer: Mount the fearsome Deathbringer, a colossal armored vehicle armed with a trio of devastating weapons: a flamethrower, an artillery cannon, and an automatic plasma rifle shotgun. This formidable machine also boasts an extractor system, allowing players to harvest biocores from the battlefield.
