'Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Purgatory' Comes To Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Later This Month - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on July 9, 2024 @ 2:32 p.m. PDT

Set in the World of Darkness, Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Purgatory is a captivating blend of fantasy thriller, visual novel, and tabletop RPG.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Purgatory invites players to explore the dark side of (in)human nature, uncover supernatural conspiracies, and combat the deadly chaos force known as the Wyrm. Set in the legendary World of Darkness story universe, the game follows Samira, an Afghan werewolf and refugee, as she navigates a world where evil takes both human and supernatural forms.

Meet Samira, an Afghan werewolf and refugee. Follow her story as she flees her homeland and gets struck by a life-changing tragedy. Play in a world where evil comes in both human and supernatural shapes, and investigate the horrifying secrets hidden across the city of Warsaw. Will she sink into despair, overwhelmed by the tragedies of her past? Or will she give in to her rage and fight for a better future? The choice is yours.

Purgatory plunges players into the rich and captivating world of Werewolf: The Apocalypse, where the line between humanity and monstrosity blurs. Blending RPG mechanics with a visual novel foundation, the game follows Samira on her journey of self-discovery as she confronts both inner demons and real-life monsters lurking in the shadows. This story stands on its own, but fans of Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest will recognize some familiar places and characters in this new adventure.

Pre-orders for the game begin on July 16. In the meantime, eager players can jump into the free demo now on Steam.

Key Features:

  • UNLEASH THE BEAST: Investigate murder, monsters and madness amidst Poland’s border crisis. Play as Samira, a refugee werewolf, as her search unearths dark secrets and forces her to confront her own tragedies.
