In Neural Dominion, players will be tasked with taking control of one of six rival gangs in the city of Technograd, where getting to the top is the only thing that matters.
In Neural Dominion, players are tasked with climbing their way to the top of the food chain in order to become the ultimate leader of Technograd. At the beginning of each game, players must choose one of six gangs, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. These gangs include the Acore 1337 hackers made up of young cybercriminals born connected to the network, the XYSurgeons made up of former corporate medical care professionals turned freelance cybersurgeons, and the powerful and rich Sobeki Corp. Master each of these unique factions and players will be on their way to total control of the city.
To turn the tide during combat, players will be able to equip and upgrade their gang leader with new weapons, armor, and cybernetic implants and send them into individual battles alongside their army of thugs. Apart from the smaller battles going on within the city limits, players will also need to perform hits, espionage, money laundering, arms deals, and more in order to gain even more power.
Neural Dominion features a unique setting for the 4X genre (a gritty, crime-infested cyberpunk city), cyberpunk-specific criminal activity and turn-based or “Active Time” JRPG-inspired combat, depending on player preference.
Camlann Games and indie dev team, GameBond Studio are pleased to reveal pre-alpha gameplay for Neural Dominion, previously known as Ataxia.
“Very excited for this game,” says Camlann Games CEO Slava Heretz. “One of my favorite genres to play is 4X strategy, personally. And one of my favorite game settings is well-crafted cyberpunk universes. This scratches both those itches. There’s a lot here that players familiar with the strategy genre will appreciate. And there are some really interesting and unique elements that I’ve honestly never seen in the genre. Incredibly honored to be a part of bringing this game to life”
