In Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, a new system is added to the world of Alfheim Online, but a malfunction causes all worlds and timelines to collide, creating a unique setting and challenging environment for Kirito and other players. All lost in uncharted territory, enemies become allies, departed characters are back and unlikely alliances will be formed to survive the dangers in this unsettled world. 

Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream offers an original story in a game featuring fan-favorite characters and focused on a large-scale co-op experience with cross play. Players will enjoy playing their favourite characters from the first three seasons of the animated series and Sword Art Online movies, in a cross-play battle action game featuring thrilling boss raids and co-op quests.

Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is calling on all heroes to participate in its Open Network Test (ONT), starting 21st September until 23rd September. The ONT will be accessible across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).

Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is available now for digital pre-orders on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via STEAM.

The Open Network Test will let players explore the virtual world and engage in epic 20-player raids against unique and vicious enemies such as The Skull Reaper and Sword Golem, all while stepping into the roles of their favourite SWORD ART ONLINE characters.

During the Open Network Test, players can choose from nine out of the 21 beloved characters from the full roster depending on the party’s needs:

• FIGHTER: Kirito and Asuna who are versatile with their well-balanced DPS abilities.
• TANK: Agil who specializes in provocation skills to attract enemies and shield their allies.
• ROGUE: Argo and LLENN who use their offensive prowess and agility to disrupt and confuse foes.
• MAGE: Oberon who creates battlefield anomalies through various disruptive spells.
• RANGER: Sinon and Fukaziroh who excel in long-range attacks.
• SUPPORT: Leafa who provides magical buffs and healing to aid her team.

The Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream ONT sessions are scheduled as follows:

• 21/09 (Saturday) 03:00 BST to 22/09 (Sunday), 03:00 BST
• 22/09 (Sunday), 07:00 CEST to 23/09 (Monday) 04:00 CEST

Players buying the game will be able to transfer obtained equipment (weapons and accessories) from the network test version to the release version of SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream at launch.

Players choosing to pre-order the Digital Deluxe or Digital Premium editions will be granted with a three-day early access to SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream, taking their first steps into this new world before other fighters.

Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) on October 4, 2024.
