'Green Hawk Platoon' Is A Multi-player FPS Where You Play As Toy Soldiers - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Aug. 29, 2024 @ 4:19 p.m. PDT

Green Hawk Platoon is an action-packed, multi-player FPS where you fight in the smallest army in the world as you team up with other plastic toy soldiers and wage war against other teams for control of the kitchen, bedroom, or backyard!

The Toys You Loved, the Battles You Dreamed!

Did you ever play with those little green toy soldiers as a kid? So did Retro Pixel Digital. Their aim was to bring those nostalgic memories into a game that's fun to play with friends or on your own.

With Green Hawk Platoon, publisher MicroProse and developer Retro Pixel Digital set out to create an FPS that feels larger than life, designed for both single player enthusiasts and competitive multiplayer fans, focused on delivering responsive gunplay and class-based combat at a 'toy soldier' scale.

The developers put a lot of effort into making sure Green Hawk Platoon offers a fun and engaging experience, carefully fine-tuning the mechanics to get everything just right. Adding tanks, jeeps, helicopters, planes, controllable turrets, parachutes, grappling hooks, and even rockets to supercharge the moment-to-moment gameplay.

They are also working on a variety of fully customizable weapons and soldier classes, including Riflemen, Medics, Heavy Machine-gunners, Engineers, Rocket Men and Commandos. Players must also avoid environmental hazards, such as house cats, birds, crabs, squirrels and rats who may show up to make things more interesting.

Green Hawk Platoon is coming to PC (Steam Early Access) in Q4 2024 or Q1 2025, followed by full launch on PC and consoles.
