Embark on a quest with the delightfully narcissistic knight, Von Wanst (gorgeous hair), as he attempts to free himself from a perplexing tower. Explore a labyrinth of unpredictable outcomes filled with deadly traps, monsters, and even other prisoners to join in the escape.
Lucky Tower Ultimate is a roguelite adventure game infused with slapstick humor and a hand-drawn aesthetic, where each run feels like an immersive cartoon. It continues the cult classic Flash game series about choosing between three mysterious doors. The Lucky Tower beckons seasoned fans and new players alike to experience the unique pleasure of getting all geared up just to slip on a banana peel and die.
In this twisty tale, your decisions are the key to multiple ways to end the run — each more complex than the last. Everything and everyone reacts to your actions, for better or worse. Selfishly slash your way down and use companions to your advantage, or safely reach civilization together.
Every door, every step, and every battle is an invitation to embrace the unexpected, where you can never truly prepare for what’s coming next. Acquire potions, armor, or magical treasures to sow mayhem on the next floor and discover the secrets buried within the Lucky Tower.
Lucky Tower Ultimate is the first premium game in the Lucky Tower series, and it’s a true culmination of all the goofy jokes, quirky characters, and deadly perils enjoyed tens of millions of times over in the days of Flash gaming. Continuing its trademark design of presenting three mysterious doors on each floor, the tower beckons new and returning fans to experience the joys of getting all geared up... just to slip on a banana peel and die.
Developer Studio Seufz and publisher AMC Games announced that Lucky Tower Ultimate is now available through Steam Early Access for $14.99 USD.
Starting its Early Access journey today, the Studio Seufz team are delighted to share the game with their community. “Lucky Tower Ultimate is the funniest game we've ever made,” said Anselm Pyta, co-designer and lead artist of the Lucky Tower series. “We’re still adding a bazillion ridiculous things before version 1.0, but now is the right time to show it to players and take them with us on the journey.”
Players who’ve previously played the Lucky Tower Ultimate demo can anticipate titillating new content like:
The complete tower, with a new segment in a distinctive art style
The Village outside the tower (if you can escape the tower to reach it) that offers meta-progression. Buy items to help you in your next run, deposit gold in the bank, purchase a shiny new haircut, and more!
New companions, new enemies, and new items
Steam achievements
On their quest, the player will meet a large cast of quirky, hand-drawn monsters. The Riddle Master may reward a witty player with loot, hungry fiends lurk in every darkened corner, and witches guard a laboratory where potent potables are brewed. The tower’s mastermind, Evelius, hints that we may need to do more than just escape the tower to defeat him... follow the Early Access journey to unravel the mystery!
During Early Access, there will be three major milestone updates and a capstone update for the 1.0 release — a new area, The Cave, will be added to the game in the first milestone update. Reminiscent of the labyrinthine caves of The Longing, this area will offer an alternative path for players to escape the tower.
Additional updates will include even more companions, traps, items, and quests provided by characters in the village. The final capstone update will feature the True Ending of the game. The 1.0 is expected to launch in 2025 on PC for Steam and Epic Game Store.
“Lucky Tower Ultimate is aptly named – the ultimate expression of a concept that captured millions of fans’ imaginations back when it debuted in the golden age of web gaming,” said Clayton Neuman, Head of Games & Franchise at AMC. “Now that it’s making the leap to Steam in Early Access, it’s everything you loved about the original, and more: absurd, hilarious, wickedly diabolical. The tower's shifting floors will have you laughing your head off as it’s impaled, decapitated, and crushed – over and over again.”
