Wildgate combines action-packed emergent gameplay with explosive spaceship combat for a galactically fresh take on the multiplayer genre.

Evade deadly environmental hazards, search for powerful weapons and ship upgrades, and be the first crew to escape with the Artifact... or the last crew left flying.

In Wildgate, players (called “Prospectors”) team up in small crews to venture into a hostile, unpredictable, and mysterious region of space in search of an ancient relic known as the Artifact. While in pursuit of the Artifact, players work together to pilot their spacecraft, plunder wreckage, and discover forgotten loot. To win, crews must successfully reach the exit point with the Artifact or go for a domination victory by destroying all rival ships by whatever means necessary.

Publisher Dreamhaven and developer Moonshot Games announced that Wildgate’s seasonal update, Hallowed Beyond, is creeping upon the Reach from October 23 to November 6, 2025.

During this event, players can travel to eerie locations, find special crates to unlock limited-time content, fight an event boss haunting dead ships, and more. Players can prepare for the event now by getting Wildgate or its Renegade Edition for 34% off on Steam until October 20.

The above teaser video gives a sneak peek at what’s in store for the update, including:

• Hallowed Crates: Featuring 16 pieces of free content, these special crates are found in themed locations or dropped from bosses on haunted dead player ships. 
• Haunted Hazard: Dead player ships will be haunted by a new Legion Ghost, which drops a Hallowed Crate upon defeat.
• Haunted Locations: Experience spine-tingling themed locations across the Reach during the event.
• Vampiric Hardpoint: This addition to the loot table can absorb the health of a nearby ship when destroyed.
• Gloam Expanse: Within the newly spooktacular Reach, this location sports a fresh skybox, cloud color, and asteroid changes. Players can also discover a resource that provides health to player ships.
