Publisher Light Up Games and developer Bromantic Games announced that Folklands is set to launch through Steam Early Access on March 24, 2025 and will remain so for at least 18 months, depending on the number and type of changes and feedback.

Dependent on player feedback, the Early Access period will see improvements in the following areas:

• new resources and production chains
• graphic improvements
• more building, resource and folk variety
• additional administration and settlement tools to manage settlements
• multiplayer improvements
• additional diplomacy and trade features
