Parties of up to three players will venture into the mist to battle monsters and rival teams for powerful gear in the hopes of becoming powerful enough to restore life to the world. 

Mistfall Hunter is set in a world where various races thrived under the protection of magic. A cataclysmic battle between the gods of this world and otherworldly deities leaves nearly all divine beings fallen, transforming their blood into a golden mist that drives those it touches into madness. This disaster, dubbed the “Gyldenize,” leaves only a few humans to survive in untouched corners of the world.

In the wake of an epic war between gods and outer gods, all deities have fallen. Their blood has turned into the Gyldenmist, a corrosive force that sweeps across the land, warping the souls of the living and driving them to madness and monstrous mutations. Amidst the Gyldenmist, a few esilient humans cling to their sanity, seeking refuge in the last remnants of civilization. Yet, hope endures. From the shadows steps Dew, a mysterious girl with the power to resurrect fallen heroes and grant them immortal bodies. These reborn champions, known as Gylden Hunters, follow Dew into the heart of peril, battling Gyldenized creatures and harvesting Gyldenblod. Their mission is to mend the shattered Web of Fate and rekindle a spark of hope in a world on the brink of oblivion.

Mistfall Hunter developer Bellring Games released a major development update today, headlined by the official confirmation that the game is coming to PlayStation 5.

To ensure a high-quality experience across all platforms, the global launch has been rescheduled to July 2026. This release will now be a simultaneous multi-platform launch across PS5, Xbox, and PC.

The developers noted that the extra time is being used to polish the delicate balance between PvP and PvE mechanics and to ensure the long-term health of the game's economy.

Testing and Launch Schedule Update

Greetings, Gyldhunters! Thank you all for your continued support. First of all, we would like wish you a wonderful year ahead filled with happiness and success!

Over the past few months, we have completed development on the new class Withered Knight, a variety of new gameplay mechanics and system features, as well as several targeted optimizations based on feedback from the previous test. For details, please refer to the Roadmap below and the upcoming development logs.

That said, beyond our regular content creation, we want to take some bold steps and introduce meaningful innovations to make the game even more fun. For example, we are planning a complete overhaul of the core combat mechanics, moving away from the previous energy-exhaustion-focused design toward combat that feels freer and more fluid. We are also experimenting with new mechanics that fundamentally reduce stage pressure while preserving the fun and tension of each match. However, when factoring in PvP and PvE coexistence, class balance, solo and team play, and long-term economic cycles, the actual design and production complexity of these improvements has far exceeded our expectations. As a result, we need additional time to properly polish and refine the game.

We firmly believe these changes will significantly enhance the overall experience, and we want Mistfall Hunter to launch in its best possible state. As such, we regret to inform you that the testing and release schedule will be postponed. 

Our updated plan is to hold the BETA 4 test during Steam Next Fest on June 15, 2026, followed by a simultaneous global launch in July.

Recently, we have received many inquiries regarding a PS5 version. We are pleased to officially announce that the team is actively working on porting the game to PS5. The PS5 version will launch alongside the Xbox and PC versions in July. In addition, to continue gathering feedback from our Gyldhunters, we are planning a small-scale, invitation-only test in April 2026.

More details will be announced as soon as the format is finalized.

Break through enemy lines, follow the bell's toll to locate the portal, and escape safely to the warmth of your camp. Hunter or prey? The choice is yours!

Key Features:

• PREPARE – Players have a safe camp where they can team up with two other members, trade items, gear up, and adjust their talents and skills for their next adventure.
• FIGHT – Immerse yourself in smooth, third-person gameplay and fast-paced combat. Select your player class and then utilize both magic and steel to customize your combat style. Players can switch weapons during battles to adapt to various enemies. You can even team up with friends to execute surprising combos to secure victory over any who may challenge your greatness.
• LOOT – There are rich treasures in the ruins, guarded by terrifying corroded, fallen legendary heroes, or even epic demigods. Fight these powerful creatures for spoils, or take the quicker route by hunting down and looting other Gylden Hunters. Just be careful. If you die, you lose everything.
• EXTRACT – To successfully escape from the ruins, players need to locate a rare monster called “Returner Woodling”. Defeating it grants an item called “Soul of Return.” With this item in hand, players can create their path home.

Mistfall Hunter is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) in July 2026.
