NEC Electronics has won a contract from Microsoft to produce one of the chips that will go into the graphics system of the next generation Xbox games console.

Namco announced today that Pac-Pix has shipped to retail outlets throughout North America for the Nintendo DS. Combining classic Pac-Man gameplay and the unique technology of the DS system, Pac-Pix lets players draw and control their very own Pac-Man as he chases down Ghosts in this innovative adventure.

Midway announced today that Area 51, the story-driven, first-person action thriller, has shipped to retail outlets nationwide for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Area 51 will also be available for PC and is scheduled to ship on May 23, 2005.
