SEGA has reached an alliance agreement with JC Entertainment Corp. in Korea to co-develop and co-publish Shenmue Online. SEGA also has an agreement with T2 Technology Holdings Inc. to allow T2 technology to handle the Chinese online game operation of Shenmue Online. The commercial launch will take place in 2005. Merscom LLC today announced an agreement with CITY Interactive to publish three of the developer's PC games in North America: Space Interceptor: Project Freedom, a space arcade combat game, Terrorist Takedown, a military arcade shooter, and WWII Fighter Pilot (previously announced), a flight arcade combat game. While it was already revealed a week or 2 ago, Atari has announced plans to develop "Dragonshard" a real-time strategy game based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe created by Wizards of the Coast. "Dragonshard" will be the first game set in the exciting new D&D campaign setting, Eberron, a cinematic and war-torn world of action, adventure and intrigue where fantasy meets magical technology.

Atari, Obsidian Entertainment and BioWare have announced plans for Neverwinter Nights 2, the sequel to BioWare Corp.'s best-selling and genre-defining role-playing game set in the popular Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms universe created by Wizards of the Coast. Atari, Inc. will publish the title.

Already hinted at the past few days, but now it's official as Majesco announced today it has secured the worldwide publishing rights to Double Fine's Psychonauts. "Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires" introduces a new stage and strategy system to the series' frenetic battlefield action. In the new system, players begin the game with a map of Ancient China, divided into 24 different regions. Players start with one region, and then choose another region to invade.
