'Vietcong: Purple Haze' is a cinematic narrative-based First Person Shooter (FPS) set during the Vietnam Conflict. Players of VIETCONG experience the war from the perspective of a soldier assigned to join a squad of U.S. Special Forces running reconnaissance missions deep into the jungles of Northern Vietnam.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is based on the special edition "director's cut" version of the game that was released in Japan earlier this year, which features an appearance from one of videogaming's most popular characters, Dante, from Capcom's Devil May Cry series. Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne for the PS2 has been given a Mature rating along with four descriptors, Blood, Intense Violence, Language and Sexual Themes.

Playlogic today announced that Alpha Black Zero: Intrepid Protocol for the PC has begun shipping and will begin arriving in North American stores by September 9, 2004.

'Outlaw Golf 2' will be even more raunchy with all new courses, new characters (and old favorites), golf cart stunt driving, enhanced AI and controls, and an all new way to beat up your caddie to regain your composure. THQ Germany has confirmed that they will be having an open multiplayer beta test for GSC World's upcoming FPS 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl.' As a "stalker" exploring the vast "Exclusion Zone" to procure artifacts for the black market, players must survive mutant creatures, dangerous anomalous areas, competing "stalkers" and a military charged with quarantining the 30 square kilometer area. A specific start date has not been announced although THQ does mention that it will be open up the MP beta to 5.000 people before its official Q1 2005 release date.

Midway today announced plans to open a new internal development studio in Austin, Texas. Midway is actively recruiting for the new studio which it plans to open in the near future. Midway will be at the upcoming Austin Game Conference on Sept. 9-10 at the Austin Convention Center. Midway currently has product development studios in Chicago, San Diego and Seattle.
