The July issue of
Computer Gaming World magazine will have the first information about Digital Illusions-Electronic Arts' BattleField 2 (working title). The game isn't a direct follow-up to Battlefield 1942 or Battlefield: Vietnam. Instead, it jumps forward to the world of modern warfare. After yesterday's somewhat
upbeat message by means of their financial results and revelation of various new titles, it seems all is not well over at Interplay. An
article on Gamespot seems to indicate that Interplay is 3 months behind on the rent for their Irvine facilities and are facing eviction if they dont come up with roughly $450,000 in change. Although by now the eviction has expired and since Interplay is still on location, that would indicate something has been resolved.
