We just tossed up 2 movies from Microsofts title, Asheron's Call 2. The movies show some combat animations for the Lugian warrior. "Asheron's Call 2 is the sequel to the original Asheron's Call massively multiplayer game. A revolution of the MMORPG genre, Asheron's Call 2 continues the saga set in the unique fantasy world of Dereth."

Quake 3 Fortress - Beta 2.0

The Quake 3 Fortress Beta version 2.0 is now available for download. This release "140.2 MB" includes new maps, gametypes, player models, skins, special effects, and anti-cheat features. Grab it from FilePlanet or from the Q3F site.

GameSpyDaily today tossed up an interesting article about that the E3's brochure for this year's event has included a conference program titled "Sneak Peek: Inside the Development Process of the Hottest Upcoming Titles". The topic is of a "Command & Conquer RTS slated for 2004 release"!

JD from Tiscali Games send us a note about that they talked with Randy Pitchford from Gearbox Software about Condition Zero, their upcoming single-player version of the popular Counter-Strike Half-Life multiplayer mod. Topics in 17 questions include improvements and compatibility between Condition Zero and normal Counter-Strike, time needed for completing objectives, visibility of gas mask, hardware requirements, bots, plans for demo and more. We also made a cleanup in our forum this weekend. Blizzard Entertainment is looking for Modelers/Texture Artists with an eye for color, shading and detail, who are adept at creating texture maps for environments and structures. 3D Artists also assist with the design and creation of objects and characters that populate the World of Warcraft, using programs such as 3D Studio Max, and participate in game design with the rest of the team. GameSpot offers yet another Delta Force: Task Force Dagger Q&A with NovaLogic Producer Wes Eckhart talking about the upcoming standalone expansion in the Delta Force series. An interesting interview on MacGamer with Bill Roper producer for Blizzard talking about his work on "WarCraft III", amongst other things (thanks ZenGamer). Action Vault has a Unreal Tournament 2003 Q&A #1, starting yet a new chapter in their home made format of "one question, many answers". Today the Digital Extremes team is at bat. The Gaming Lounge offers a Q&A with Irrational's Jonathon Chey discussing their just released superhero game "Freedom Force".

'Starmageddon : Project Earth' Demo Available NOW

DreamCatcher lets us know they just released their demo for Starmageddon, a full 3D real-time strategy in space. The gameplay takes the best and proven elements of RTS genre, where both quick thinking and long-term strategies are important. The user interface is intuitive and very easy to get into and use, with some never before seen features (e.g. for the first time in 3D space RTS the player has a complete freedom of the camera movement). Get it at 3DGamers while its hot (a whopping 106 megs)!
