Sony Denies New PSP Screen Will Tax Batteries

Last month SCEA announced a revamped PSP model with a higher quality LCD screens for better picture quality. Shortly thereafter rumors claimed that because of the enhanced screen the battery life would be shorter than the previous PSP model. Sony issued a statement saying that those rumors are incorrect, and while the new PSP screen draws a little more power, its engineers worked to reduce the power consumption of the overall system to even things out.

With that deadline now expired, Tecmo issued a statement that it is indeed not going to accept Square Enix's friendly takeover bid, but is instead talking to KOEI about merging the two companies.
